Many of his best recordings were only released in single, EP or remained unedited until they were rescued in compilations on the 70's when with rock'n'roll's revival Gene And His Capitol recordings received the recognition they deserved. With This box set we complete the collection initiated in Race With The Devil, collecting all those songs that were not included in any of his 7 official Capitol LPs spanning from 1958 to 1963. During these years Gene's style continued evolving from solid rock & roll to orchestrated early pop sound with an important contribution to British beat beginnings, strongly influencing future stars of English rock such as George Harrison, Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton or John Lennon since his first UK tour back in 1959. Thus, in this six EPs you will find superb classics like Say Mama or I'm Gonna Home with other less famous but not less appealing such as You're Still In My Heart or If You Want My Lovin', recovered again on the luxurious 7" EP format, pressed on black vinyl with magnificent cover inspired on the artwork of Gene Vincent's original sleeves.
