This compilation spans the 6 years from 1947 to 1953 and comprises 24 Jimmy Liggins sides cut for Specialty Records, 5 of which are previously unissued. Unlike brother Joe, guitarist Jimmy played a more rough and ready blues, but still had his fair share of R&B hits. including the top 5 ""Drunk"", which includes the immortal line ""Went for the pillow, missed the whole darn bed"". Maybe not sophisticated, but it sure does rock."
