And while many of its artists and their recordings are now obscure, two singles – ‘In The Still Of The Night’ by the Five Satins and ‘Get A Job’ by the Silhouettes – are acknowledged classics. Ember would fold in the face of the British Invasion in 1964, but we feature here the brightest and best offerings before the flame finally flickered.
