Perhaps their finest moment, as far as exposure goes, came in the late '56 movies 'Don't Knock The Rock' and 'The Girl Can't Help It'. Unfortunately, those are just two of the few remaining artifacts of what was certainly one of the most exciting stage shows in the early '50s. Over the years, the Trenier Twins recorded for a number of labels but scored little chart success. Their wild stage act previewed the coming rock 'n'roll storm better than anyone in the early part of that decade, tho', and their recordings, including the original version of Bill Haley's Rock-A-Beatin' Boogie, serve as ample research material for that embryonic time. We have gathered up the bulk of the group's non-Okeh recordings in all their forms - the Trenier Twins, the four-brother Treniers and even older brother Milton's solo recordings - on two CDs that total 36 tracks between them from 1947 to 1956. The earliest recordings, drawn from the Mercury vaults, includes Hey Sister Lucy and Ooh! Looka-There Ain't She Pretty along with seven unreleased sides; the '50s recordings, culled from RCA feature Cool It Baby, (We Want A) Rock And Roll President and Drinkin' Wine Spo-Dee-O-Dee, along with seven unreleased gems.
