• Lyhyt kuvaus selected singles As & Bs 1949-1962 Tommy Ridgely was born, raised and died in New Orleans and was a consistently popular entertainer in the city and its environs without ever achieving a major hit.  It was at the city’s premier R&B venue, the legendary Dew Drop Inn, where he made his lasting impression and established his band The Untouchables as the most famous house band in the club’s history.  Many of these 30 tracks including songs like “Lavinia” were major chart hits in New Orleans and Louisiana.  The titles we have selected cover his recordings between 1949 and 1962 and feature Blues, R&B and the emerging sounds of Soul music all of which he excelled at.  Fully detailed liner notes.
