• Lyhyt kuvaus The Rocking Ghosts was one of the most popular Danish groups in the sixties both in Denmark,but also around the world, The Rocking Ghosts released records in many countries like Germany ,Japan, U.S.A. Mexico, etc. Originally started as a school band early 1962 with a trumpet as leading instrument! But changed style and instruments in the middle of the same year. They were heavily inspired of Cliff Richard and not at least the Shadows, so naturally their first recordings were instrumentals. Their first single "Vilja oh Vilja"" wasa rock treatment of a Franz LÚhar classic. Their real with the fourth single ""Belinda"". Placed high in the charts in 13 months in Denmark and released in most European countries. An even greater success followed in 1966 with their rearrangement of Johan Strauss ô-ber den Wellenö, which became ôOh What A Kissö. The record sold alone 60.000 copies in Denmark, which was a very big figure for a rock record in those years. The Rocking Ghosts image was always the nice guys - no long hair, always nice suits, but in 1967 they tried to chance their image to the new flower powerstyle. But the change didn't give them any new fans and they lost a lot of the group decided to split up. In this double CD you'll find the complete recordings from the Rocking Ghosts first 4 years. In 1974 the group reformed but mainly as a dance and Danish middle-of-the-road band."
