The Blue Beats were a very popular band in the blues / roots scene during the 80's and early 90's. This is their 2nd CD that they started recording way back in 91'. This recording features the soulful gospel tinged vocals of Claudia Carawan. They had written all the songs and had already recorded 8. But you know, sometimes life just gets in the way and things just don't turnout as planned. Well here it is over 23 years later and they're finally getting it finished. The record is a great mix of American musical styles, 12 originals and two choice covers by Ray Charles and Louie Prima
